Multimedia USB flash — common problems (Dilink 3 / 4 / 5)

Troubleshooting for BYDUpdatePackage\msm8953_64\UpdateFull (same steps on Dilink 3, 4, and 5.0). Reference: guides_5153b158.

Tablet does not see the USB drive

Update stuck or very slow

  • ~10 minutes is normal — do not unplug early.
  • Car on, screen active.
  • Charge traction battery if low before retry.

Black screen or reboot loop

  1. Do not flash another random ZIP immediately.
  2. Photograph any error message.
  3. Confirm UpdateFull was for your Dilink version and region.
  4. Search ModHub24 for recovery / TestTool for your model.

Worked on Dilink 4 but I have Dilink 3 (or vice versa)

Steps and folders are the same; the package is not interchangeable. Use a report aimed at your Dilink generation.
